INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Protesters who oppose the Republican-backed right-to-work bill took their concerns to Super Bowl Village on Friday.
Union-backed demonstrators have been a big presence at the Indiana Statehouse while Democrats and Republicans debated the labor bill.
The bill passed out of the House on Wednesday and is expected to get a vote on the Senate floor as early as Wednesday of next week, ahead of the Super Bowl.
On Friday, the protesters changed their location and their message in conjunction with the Super Bowl.
“(Right to work) – the corporate zipline to more profit,” one of the protester’s signs said.
Another sign called right to work a “Super Bowl of crack to Republicans.”
Their arrival coincides with the first day the Super Bowl Village is set to open. The village opens at 3 p.m. Friday.

BburgBill: I spent much of the last 20 years living in right to work states and I'm stunned to find out just how bad those last 20 years were for me. I had great jobs. I made a competitive wage. My house payments, taxes, groceries and just about everything else I bought cost me less than they cost you because you weren't getting a cut. Silly me, I just figured that since the union north was being gutted and that all your former neighbors were moving south that things were good. I'm stunned, I tell ya, stunned to find out just how wrong I was. Funny thing is, I couldn't care less what you believe, but when you go and spout the nonsense you do, you need to be called on it. You're pathetic.

They are wasting money pushing for a law that already exists. Mitch daniels is a liar, there isnt any protection offered by rtw. Its a ploy for big business to get low ball labor. Why do you think they dont mention the kind of jobs or the wages? Sure oklahomas gdp went up but their people living at the poverty level went way up. 7th in the nation, Indiana is 23rd, So thank the repubs for the low wage no benefits jobs they are bringning in so the corporates get bigger profits then shift those thru tax loopholes? Starting to see why the economy is in bad shape?
