2 Dems file for Ind. house seat

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) — Two Democrats are running to represent northeast Indiana in Congress.

Fort Wayne residents John Forrest Roberson and Tommy Schrader both filed this week to run for the seat held by Republican Rep. Marlin Stutzman.

The Journal Gazette of Fort Wayne reports that both Roberson and Schrader have had troubles in the past.

Roberson won a Fort Wayne City Council seat last May but was removed by the Allen County elections board after it was discovered he was registered to vote in Green Bay, Wis. Schrader was fired from the Fort Wayne Police Department in 1999 after being disciplined 28 times.

Stutzman is likely to face little trouble seeking re-election in the heavily Republican district. Stutzman won the seat in the 2010.
