Protesters gather outside Bosma's home

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Dozens of union members gathered outside of an Indiana politician’s home Monday protesting the state’s proposed right-to-work legislation.

The protesters were gathered on the street outside of the home of House Speaker Brian Bosma, R-Indianapolis, just before Noon Monday.

Chopper 8 video showed the crowd included about 50 people.

to irishking... you really think were low life blue collar workers... how would you feel if said your a high class a-hole who takes money from the little man who works hard for his money and you sit in some office like a monster thinking of a way to take more money from the blue collar worker... if not for the middle class there would be no upper class, so like i said you should be thankful for people like us who put our nose to the grind so you can make a comfortable living, up your penthouse. as for me i love my simple life and will never change, i could've went to college but i chose this life and when i joined the union i knew i had to pay dues and i know those dues go for my benefit. and yes i was there at bosmas home with all my union brothers and sisters...

Yep it’s bad. Aristocrats do not want that low life blue collar trash in their Geist neighborhood. Many of them look menacing and like child molesters. Brian Bosma probably got the Geist Homeowner’s Association to get a Temporary Restraining Order against those union jokers. They can gather and protest in residential neighborhoods up in Munster, Indiana but they aren’t going to be able to do so in the Geist.

I am always amazed at how hard core the union side gets on these issues. No one is taking money out of anyones pockets. So, I guess we should just run all the companies (large and small) out of business by paying inflated wages or just make the cost of products go so high we are forced to buy everything that was made in China.

I would suspect the police need to move this crowd on. They are harrassing an individual and disturbing the peace. They had their way with the capacity limits being removed at the Statehouse, so they need to get back there to protest. It`s a moot point however, RTW is as good as a done deal, and Hoosiers will see more jobs coming into the state. That, and these thugs will finally go back to work, if they even really have jobs.

Oklahoma went rtw in '01. their unemployment is low. THEY ARE 7TH IN THE NATION WITH PEOPLE LIVING AT THE POVERTY THRESHOLD! Census bureau 2008. These politicians get their job numbers but they arent telling you its all low pay and no benefits. Do you want to live in a neighborhood whereall your neighbors make ten bucks an hour? Ask yourself one thing,...would you spend $5 to make $20? I think anyone would. Congratulations, you just voted for the union!!

yesac1980 is exactly right! We always have the same two types of people in these comments, people who understand unions and the absolutely ignorant people that spew their stupidity everywhere. Read a history book! Unions are the basis for the standard of living here in america. It was the father of the middle class. Im a proud union Operating Engineer and so was my father before me. This right to work is nothing but a scam. All the proof is in the numbers

to jdrund, im really gettin tired of people saying "why aren't these union people at work" The reason is were sick of big money trying to bully us around, everyone says unions are the bullies. what do you call someone trying to take money out of your pocket, thats bully tatics. and for you who think union drive up costs your wrong, unions were developed to give money in the pocket of the worker, instead of the big corporation "bullying" the little man and keeping the profits, so without unions the cost will be the same, its just the big money man will keep it, instead of the money going to someone who earned it. Im a proud union member and always will be, i also grew up with a father who was a union member and his wage put food on our table and we lived a very modest life. and for you who still wanna bad mouth unions, think about this, the building you go to work in was more than likely built by union tradesman you shoould be thankful, the car you drive thank you UAW, the roads you drive on, oh and the big one, your precious super bowl in that nice new stadium, was built by union members, so take a look around you and you'll be able to see union influence everywhere... stay strong to all my union members UNITED WE BARGAIN DIVIDED WE BEG...

@ jdrund, These people know exactly what they are protesting. If you knew what this was all about you would be helping them to keep their wages and benefits. Looks to me that you're the one that needs to review the facts and understand why they are protesting. When a person wants to take food from your table and take away your home by lowering your wages, you confront that person head on. By going to his home you get publicity and show the rest of the country what kind of a crook this politician really is. These people know RTW will not do Indiana any good, just look at Oklahoma and the other RTW states. It is a useless law that politicians want so they can help the corporate leaders get richer than they already are. There's plenty of low paying jobs already here, just look in the news papers. If the people wanted to actually work for minimum wage they would go get a job at McDonald's or Burger King.

old_and_wise a)they are there of there own accord b)some by bus; some via there own vehicle c) NO! those who rode the bus were provided a sack lunch if you consider that payment; those who drove themselves paid for their own expenses in full gas, lunch, parking etc. those who are not retired have even missed time off work to make this trip so in the long run they are losing money. d)hopefully it will prevent the passing of a law that will in essence undermine the rights of ALL workers, not just union workers

@ haztobesaid, doubtful if they are thinking about his neighbors. They just want noticed. And it is working. This will probably make national news.
