Pence hires new budget director

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Gov. Mike Pence hired Brian Bailey as the new budget director on Monday.

He will lead the State Budget Agency.

Bailey is the chief of staff and general counsel at the Office of Management and Budget. Before that role, he was appointed by former Gov. Mitch Daniels to serve as the commissioner for the Indiana Department of Local Government Finance.

Bailey also practiced law at Ice Miller LLP.

He will assume the position on July 15.

Andrew Kossack will become the new general counsel and policy director at the Office of Management and Budget.
