BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) — Former U.S. Sen. Richard Lugar will deliver a lecture on international affairs later this month at Indiana University in Bloomington.
Lugar will present the Patrick O'Meara International Lecture on Feb. 18 at Whittenberger Auditorium in the Indiana Memorial Union.
Lugar was the longest-serving senator in Indiana's history until his defeat in the Republican primary last year.
Widely regarded as an expert on international affairs, Lugar worked with then-Sen. Sam Nunn to forge an agreement to destroy more than 7,500 nuclear warheads in the former Soviet Union.
He also is a faculty member in Indiana University's School of Global and International Studies.
