INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Governor-elect Mike Pence gave a preview of his inauguration on Thursday.
The Republican said that the ceremony will take place outdoors on the west side of the Statehouse based on predictions for temperatures in the 30s.
Four former governors will be on hand including Democrats Evan Bayh and Joe Kernan along with Republicans Mitch Daniels and Ed Whitcomb.
While state school superintendent Glenda Ritz will not take part, the newly-elected Democrat will attend.
Pence said his speech will focus on what he calls the potential for an unprecedented era of growth and opportunity.
"My message will be on Monday that it will take all of us working together in the state of Indiana to meet that moment," he said, "and we'll talk about that vision and we'll talk about some ideas of how we do that."
Pence will place his hand on a Bible used by President Benjamin Harrison when he takes the oath of office.
