INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels is planning one last trip in his campaign RV as it heads to the RV Hall of Fame.
The governor's office says Daniels is donating the vehicle dubbed RV-1 to the Indiana State Museum but it is going on display at the RV museum in Elkhart.
Daniels and others involved in his gubernatorial campaigns are planning to ride in the RV on Wednesday for a trip from the Statehouse in Indianapolis to the museum in northern Indiana.
There will be a few stops along the way. The trip starts in Indianapolis at 9 a.m. Wednesday, at Orr Plaza at the Statehouse. The RV will then stop in Tipton at 10:30 a.m. at Sherill's Restaurant. Next, the RV will stop at Christos Family Dining in Plymouth at 12:30 p.m. The trip will then end up at the RV Hall of Fame in Elkhart at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Daniels leaves office as governor on Jan. 14 and starts the next day as Purdue University's new president.
