Leaders push for mass transit expansion

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Local leaders want the public’s input on how to pay for expanded mass transit in central Indiana.

The Indy Connect Now campaign aims to urge the General Assembly to allow for a voter referendum next year on how to fund mass transit expansion.

Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard will join Westfield Mayor Andy Cook and other leaders Thursday afternoon to launch the campaign at 1 p.m. at the Artsgarden, 110 W. Washington St.
