Hustler publisher takes aim at Mourdock

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Hustler publisher Larry Flynt bought space Thursday in the Indianapolis paper for a tongue-in-cheek criticism of a local senate candidate's controversial remarks about rape.

Flynt is offering $1 million for proof that God somehow spoke to Senate candidate Richard Mourdock.

The "reward" comes after Mourdock said in a debate, in response to a question about his stance on abortion, that pregnancy resulting from rape was "something God intended."

The controversial comment has drawn wide criticism, but Mourdock stood by the sentiment, apologizing only that his words were misunderstood.
