INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Mike Pence is getting support from Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker after he joined the Republican governor for the Indianapolis Colts game against the Green Bay Packers.
The Colts edged out a 3-point victory over the Packers Sunday. The Journal-Gazette of Fort Wayne reported Monday that Pence said Walker was supportive of him before the Colts' narrow victory but "didn't ask after."
Republican governors have flocked to Indiana to help Pence join their ranks in November. Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal raised money for Pence in Fort Wayne last month and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christies raised money for him in Carmel earlier in September.
Pence is scheduled to participate in the first gubernatorial debate Wednesday with Democrat John Gregg and Libertarian Rupert Boneham.
