Steve and Margaret Goldsmith split up

Former Indianapolis Mayor and former New York City Deputy Mayor Steve Goldsmith has split with wife Margaret, the former first lady of Indianapolis.

A source with knowledge of the situation and ties to both Steve and Margaret reports that they are separated and that one or both plans to file for divorce, likely in Indiana.  Both have plans to move back to Indiana from Washington, D.C. where police arrested Steve Goldsmith on a domestic violence charge in 2011.  He was later absolved of the charge.

Kate Snedeker, a spokeswoman for Steve Goldsmith, says the former mayor has no comment on the status of his marriage.

I tuned in to see Michele Obama and caught the statement of Margaret Goldsmith but didn't hear the first part so I came on here to see if I could find it. Are you guys Bi-Polar down there in the City? What is the point? They are not political people any longer and I know she has been quite ill by spells over the years. Leave it alone and show some class please. I can stand in line at the grocery and read the rags.
