INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A lawmaker has sent a letter to fellow Republican members of the Indiana House saying he will not support a resolution celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Girl Scouts because he believes it is a "radicalized organization" that supports abortion and promotes homosexuality.
In a letter obtained by The Journal-Gazette of Fort Wayne on Monday, Rep. Bob Morris of Fort Wayne said he did some research on the Internet and found allegations that the Girl Scouts are a tactical arm of Planned Parenthood, allow transgender females to join and encourage sex.
"After talking to some well-informed constituents, I did a small amount of web-based research, and what I found is disturbing," Morris wrote in his letter, which also accused the group of promoting "homosexual lifestyles."
Morris sent the letter to House Republicans on Saturday.
Ashley Sharp, spokeswoman for the Girl Scouts of Northern Indiana-Michiana, said Monday a statement on the group's website states that it leaves sex and reproduction questions to parents. The group accepts transgender youth on a case-by-case basis.
Morris is the only House member to refuse to sign a resolution honoring the 100th anniversary of the Girl Scouts that lawmakers approved last week. He told the Journal-Gazette that others would join him in opposing the resolution but later recanted that statement in an interview with The Associated Press.
The Girl Scouts are in the middle of their cookie-selling season. Two boxes of the Scouts' Thin Mint cookies in a snack basket and some empty plastic cookie trays sat just a few feet from the House floor Monday, in a hallway outside Republicans' offices.

LOL@grannycares........there she is with her usual insightful, compelling posts.....NOT.

Clearly onehoosier you cannot spell, as you illustrated in your earlier post. And it must be great Bengiund to have the time and resources to research each and every thing you comment on, but all of us don`t have that luxury. We do know however, that liberals very rarely have any facts at all, they typically just use emotional rhetoric and attempt to yell louder than everyone else, just because of a lack of substance. Liberals embrace EVERYTHING, but stand for NOTHING.

@onehoosier, hunter 480 already told his facts “I haven`t researched this issue, although I had seen headlines some time back that said the same thing”. If you read it in some conservative newspaper or website it's got to be true.

@hunter480, No I'm not an English major, but I can spell friend. Tell me about your research in this matter. I'm sure you know all the facts. No republican would just talk to hear himself talk.

@onehoosier, it`s not your....it`s YOU`RE......not an english major huh? But apparently what you DO stand for is sexual perversion and the slaughter of the unborn in the womb. What a really nice guy.
@Bengiund, no my frind, YOU`RE the joke. You come here with no constructive input, other than to mock and criticize.....typical liberal move, since you have zero facts or substance, just throw emotional rhetoric into the mix. Liberalism is a serious mental disorder.

hunter480 is probably having a fit. His man Bosma passed out Girl Scout cookies today in the legislation. And your right I do not stand for Communist ideas, like banning labor unions and the Girl Scouts.

Way to go Bob. It's about time someone spoke up. They are denying this But all you have to see is who supports them. So sad Girl Scouts went down this path. At St. Vincent's they have American Heritage Girls that live up to the Catholic and Christians values.
God bless.

Good for him! Girl Scouts give money to Planned Parenthood to murder children. How can an organization that is supposed to help make leaders of our girls give money to help kill them? The girls who are in Girl Scouts are the lucky ones because at least their parents didn't kill them.

“I haven`t researched this issue, although I had seen headlines some time back that said the same thing”. But because some dumb a** republican says it true (and what if it even is). I believe it! What a freaking joke!

Somebody needs to call the men in the white coats to pick up this guy and put him in a straight jacket and a ward for mental misfits. I don't want him doing any legislature that might affect me and others.
